In order to qualify for an ARGUS rating, an operator must successfully pass the Charter Evaluation and Qualification (CHEQ) process, which is an extensive assessment of the organizations safety protocols, operations, aircraft, flight crews, and many other aspects. CHEQ is one of the most respected systems in the world for rating charter operators. Participants must undergo an in-depth audit process which include historical safety records, and continual audit monitoring of all aspects which affect operational safety. Achieving the esteemed ARGUS Gold rating is a testament to our unwavering commitment to safety, and this recognition not only validates our efforts, but also assures our clients of the high standards we uphold.
Air Direct maintains an active Safety Management System (SMS) designed to identify hazards, evaluate risk, and continuously improve the way we operate. Safety concerns, operational trends, and potential hazards can be identified, evaluated, and addressed before they develop into larger problems. Our safety program encourages open reporting and a proactive approach to risk management throughout the company.
Before departure, our crews evaluate factors including weather, airport conditions, runway performance, aircraft status, crew considerations, and other operational risks. Air Direct uses formal flight-risk assessment processes to help identify elevated risks and ensure they are properly considered before a flight is conducted.
Air Direct continually evaluates its operation for opportunities to improve. Flight and operational data, internal reports, crew feedback, maintenance information, and identified safety trends are reviewed as part of our ongoing safety process. The objective is simple: identify risk early, learn from experience, and continually strengthen the operation.
Private aviation should provide convenience, flexibility, and efficiency—but never at the expense of safety. If weather, airport conditions, or any other factor makes a flight unacceptable, we will delay, modify, or divert as necessary.

All of Air Direct, LLC's pilots are highly qualified and experienced aviators, with a passion for flying, both personally and professionally. In the interest of maintaining safety and our reputation for the utmost professionalism, we only use our own fully-qualified Part 135 crews. Both Captains and First Officers are pilot-in-command qualified, ATP-licensed, and trained and type-rated in the specific model of aircraft they fly. All of our pilots attend recurrent training each year with our training partner, CAE Simuflite, and are proficiency checked in both a Level D full-motion simulator and the actual aircraft. On average, one of our flight crews will have a combined experience of over thirty years and ten thousand hours in the cockpit.
Most importantly, our entire company culture is defined by a commitment to safety throughout all operations. From the pre-flight planning to the aeronautical decision making and judgment of the flight crews, to the absolute by-the-book conduct of our maintenance personnel, to the oversight by our local FAA Flight Standards District Office, everything we do is done the right way. Our flight crews have final authority over the dispatch of a flight, and will not dispatch an aircraft they have concerns about, or in conditions that don't meet our safety standards. We ensure our pilots always meet or exceed the minimum rest periods and observe the maximum duty limits specified for Part 135 Air Carriers.
Our pilots will never allow external pressures to compel them to bend regulations, break SOP's, or compromise safety.
